Amazon Says Phone Compatibility Can Reduce Returns

Amazon Says Phone Compatibility Can Reduce Returns

Amazon is rolling out new rules that require sellers/brands to provide compatibility information for certain product pages, saying it will help reduce returns and negative reviews – and help ensure a positive customer experience.

The new policy affects product pages for wireless accessories – sellers must provide phone model compatibility information.

Amazon said sellers can use the Listing Enhancements tool to identify which ASINs require the update. For instructions, “see the Enhance listing in bulk from your Manage Inventory section on the Enhance your listings page.”

Amazon allows shoppers to filter search results by phone model when searching for wireless accessories, so in addition to reducing returns, it may help boost visibility.

The policy takes effect on June 19, 2019.
