Amazon FBA launched a holiday guide for sellers which it posted publicly today:
“Shoppers are on their way! Get ready for peak gift-giving time with our 2018 Holiday Guide, and make sure your inventory arrives at an Amazon fulfillment center by Dec. 5th.
“Bookmark our holiday sales guide for week-by-week planning and a complete social media toolkit. It’s everything you need for happy seasonal selling.”
It also reminded sellers about a promotion it launched in August – as we wrote at the time, Amazon is offering participating FBA sellers reimbursement for up to six months of long-term storage fees for new-to-Amazon ASINs in qualifying categories created between August 21, 2018, and November 30, 2018. The inventory must be received at a fulfillment center by December 5, 2018 in order to qualify for the promotion.
The guide notes the following key holiday shopping dates: Black Friday weekend Nov. 22–26; Christmas shopping peak Dec. 17–22. It also makes suggestions on what tasks seller should be doing as the holidays approach – for example, 4-6 weeks before, sellers should “Dig into details,” specifically: “Fine-tune your pricing, product pages, and listing details.” It provides links to “Check inactive listings” and “Update prices and details.”
