Management Change at eBay Germany

eBay logoThe Managing Director of eBay Germany has stepped down – Stefan Wenzel reported on LinkedIn that he has joined Heiko Schäfer and the Tom Tailor Group team, an international fashion and lifestyle group.

The move does not come as a surprise, however – the change in management at eBay’s German marketplace has been planned for months.

AIM Group reported in May that Wenzel would be stepping down and would be succeeded by Eben Sermon as Managing Director and Vice President of eBay Germany reporting to Paul Todd, Senior Vice President of eBay EMEA.

Wenzel joined eBay in 2014 to head its Fashion vertical.

His replacement, Sermon, has been with eBay since 2008. AIM reported that until his appointment in May, he had been Vice President for Greater Europe, responsible for business in France, Italy, Spain and Turkey.

Sermon’s LinkedIn profile shows he helped develop eBay’s category strategy, created its EU CRM and Loyalty program, and developed eBay’s European Cross Border Trade (export) business, among other accomplishments.
