eBay said Wednesday it is considering expanding its Stores Promoted Listings ad program in which sellers can bid for boosted placement in search results and pay only when there is a sale. Currently eBay Store owners can advertise only multi-quantity fixed-price listings in selected categories.
During a weekly chat session on Wednesday devoted exclusively to the topic of Promoted Listings, sellers who don’t list multiple-quantity items asked what options were available to them. eBay said it was considering opening Promoted Listings to single quantity in the future.
It also revealed the placement of Promoted Listings in search results, something we hadn’t seen previously published.
