eBay UK Prompts Users to List Fashion Items

Just in time for back-to-school shopping, eBay is inviting casual sellers in the UK to list clothing, shoes and accessories, and is providing them a financial incentive to do so.

Sellers who are invited to participate can create up to 4 listings on eBay.co.uk in the Fashion category and pay zero insertion fees. In addition, they will pay a maximum of 2 pounds in commission fees (called Final Value fees) per listing if they sell.

Invited users can list in the auction or fixed-price format, but must first activate the promotion. eBay explained who could participate:

“eBay.co.uk registered private sellers who have been invited to participate and have actively opted in to the promotion via the RSVP link shown in the marketing communication. Participation is linked to the seller’s account and is not transferable. Sellers must be registered as a resident in the UK.”

The promotion kicked off on August 7 and runs through the end of the month. All other fees apply, see your eBay invitation for details and restrictions.
