Etsy Changes Show a Focus on Values and Global Growth

A face familiar to many Etsy sellers is taking on a new role – Heather Jassy, who currently serves as head of Members & Community and hosts Etsy Fireside Chats on YouTube, is taking on the newly-created role of Senior Vice President of Values-Aligned Business.

Etsy also announced that Linda Kozlowski will join Etsy as Chief Operating Officer, effective May 16, 2016, an indication of Etsy’s growing focus on international growth. She was previously COO and VP of Worldwide Operations at Evernote and, earlier, held senior-level positions at Alibaba.

Etsy said Kozlowski will lead Etsy’s International, Members & Community, Marketing, Brand Design, and Communications teams, “enabling us to provide an even more consistent and relevant experience to members of our community around the world.”

Meanwhile on a post on the Etsy corporate blog, Jassy wrote, “My mandate is to make certain that our mission and values are deeply ingrained into every aspect of Etsy’s culture, products, services, business and leadership. I will also be reaching beyond the boundaries of Etsy to promote our vision of a sustainable and vibrant Etsy Economy.”

Jeff Shah will take on the role of Vice President of Members and Community.
