eBay Head Lobbyist Moves to StubHub

eBay’s chief lobbyist Tod Cohen is leaving his position to become General Counsel at StubHub, an eBay subsidiary. Cohen joined eBay in 2000 and had built the company’s Government Relations and Global Asset Protection teams.

eBay General Counsel Marie Oh Huber, who joined the company this spring in advance of the eBay breakup, called Cohen a fierce advocate for eBay who had forged relationships with legislators and regulators at all levels around the world, “defending and promoting our customers and our business from all kinds of threats.”

Huber said Cohen would apply those skills in his new role. “He’s incredibly passionate and knowledgeable about the StubHub business,” she said. “He has worked closely with the organization to help navigate the legislative and regulatory landscape and ensure its voice is heard on competitive issues. In short, he’s an excellent fit for the job.”

eBay will initiate an open search for Cohen’s replacement as its head of Government Relations.
