eBay sellers are still reporting problems with eBay’s auto-relist feature. In fact, eBay appears to be having some strange problems in recent weeks. The company has acknowledged emails going out in error – such as the International Site Visibility emailand the eBay Stores free trial email.
Last week, we reported problems sellers were having with the auto-relist feature after receiving emails from eBay sellers such as this: “Over the last several days I noticed that the feature to automatically relist auction listing that did not sell three times (a check box at the end of the listing process) is no longer available. I see no announcements about this feature. Can you find out of this time-saving feature has been discontinued?”
eBay spokesperson Ryan Moore told EcommerceBytes last week that the auto-relist feature was “still live and free,” and said the week of June 9th, eBay had experienced an issue in which some eligible sellers were unable to view the auto-relist checkbox. But, he said, “This issue has since been resolved.”
An eBay seller forwarded us an email eBay sent her (see accompanying screenshot) with the subject line “Don’t miss out – auto relist for FREE,” advising her to select the auto relist option under preferences for her current and future listings to increase her chances of selling. The email described the benefits of using auto relist as follows:
1) Saves you time and money.
2) You’re in control. Revise or end your listings at any time.
3) If you purchased advanced features such as Gallery Plus or Bold Titles, they’re free too!
But, she said, despite getting the email, eBay customer service repos told her she did not have the auto-relist option on her account.
