Amazon revealed that this year’s Prime Day sale will take place in 3 weeks, on July 16 – 17, 2024. It will be Amazon’s 10th Prime Day event, and executive Dharmesh Mehta said in a post on LinkedIn that Prime members in the US will be able to shop more small-business deals than ever before.
In Tuesday’s announcement, Amazon wrote, “We are working hard to pack even more great savings into the event this year. Members will also be able to take advantage of deep discounts and get their shopping done early for Back-to-School supplies, avoiding the lines and enjoying the convenience of fast, free shipping through Prime.”
In an email to customers, Amazon wrote in part, “Some of the best deals will go live at 12 p.m. PDT each day and new deals will drop as often as every five minutes during select times throughout the event.”
It said last year, Prime members purchased over 375 million items worldwide and saved over $2.5 billion on millions of deals across Amazon stores, making it the biggest Prime Day event in Amazon’s history, and touted fast delivery speeds.
In addition to the US, Canada, UK, and Australia, Prime Day will take place in Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Egypt, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, and the United Arab Emirates.
