Amazon Prime Day Kicks Off June 23 and Is Still Accepting Seller Deals

Amazon will kick off its Prime Day deals event on June 23, earlier than in recent years, but like last year, the sale will run for four days instead of two days. The annual sale offers millions of deals exclusively for members of Amazon Prime, a subscription service that costs $139/year and offers perks for members, including faster shipping and Prime Video.

The event arrives as consumers experience inflationary pressures – but so are sellers, whom Amazon relies on for deals to encourage shopper interest. Amazon is still accepting seller deals, having extended the deadline last week until to June 9th. Key deadlines for sellers to know:

  • Prime-Exclusive Best Deals & Lightning Deals: June 9, 2026
  • Prime Exclusive Discounts: Up to 12 hours before event end time
  • Coupons: Through the end of the event

Amazon told sellers last week about three changes to this year’s Prime Day:

  • Onsite improvements to surface relevant deals to customers more effectively
  • Lead-up offers planned to generate buzz and excitement ahead of the event (more details in the official Prime Day 2026 press release)
  • Seasonal storytelling & Today’s Big Deals — Amazon channels are investing in trends and curated deal content throughout the event period to help customers find what they’re looking for. Strong deal submissions will benefit from that reach.

In that post, Amazon also encouraged sellers to offer substantial deals, telling them that discounts of 30% or more could qualify their products for “Buzzworthy Deals placement — high-visibility, curated deal collections” as well as incremental merchandising across deal landing pages to drive higher impressions.

Amazon announced Prime Day 2026 dates on Tuesday, June 2, and said: “This year’s event makes it easy to save on everything members need, from the season’s biggest fashion trends and K-beauty favorites to summer of soccer essentials, patio furniture, and outdoor entertaining—plus savings on fresh groceries and back-to-school essentials, all with fast, free delivery. New deals drop as often as every five minutes during select periods throughout the event, so there’s always something new to discover. Prime Day June 23-26.”

Amazon Prime Vice President Jamil Ghani was quoted in the press release as follows:

“Prime Day is the biggest shopping event of the year exclusively for members, whether they’re looking for deals on the latest electronics, getting ahead on back-to-school shopping, or saving on fresh groceries and household essentials. This year, we’ve made it even easier for members to find what they’re looking for – and the excitement starts before day one, from scoring $5 pizzas at Little Caesars to early screenings of Spider-Man: Brand New Day in theaters. The incomparable value of Prime keeps growing, and this year is no exception. I can’t wait for members to enjoy all that Prime Day has to offer.”

Prime Day 2026 will take place in June in Austria, Belgium, Canada, Colombia, Egypt, France, Germany, Italy, Ireland, Luxembourg, Mexico, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Prime members in Australia, Brazil, India, and Japan will be able to shop Prime Day deals later this summer.
