Amazon sellers are shipping orders, but Amazon is failing to post them to sellers’ payments dashboard. The problem started on Friday, and sellers continued to report the problem as of Monday evening.
“No updates on payment dashboard,” a seller wrote on the Amazon discussion boards on Monday. “We shipped 13 orders yesterday December 8th, Not one has been posted to our payment dashboard. Anyone else? Amazon, please advise”
Other sellers replied they were experiencing the same issue. About 10 hours later on Monday evening, a seller replied, “It’s been 8 hours now since we shipped 18 orders and the payment dashboard is still at $0.00. Has anyone who was having this same problem today had it fixed yet?”
A seller posted a related issue on Friday, writing that their payments balance had been moved into “deferred,” saying they relied on daily payouts to continue funding expenses including inventory and employees.
Yesterday they said the issue happened again: “as of 12/8/2024 – our entire balance is showing as deferred when prior in the day we had over $5000 set to be available next AM for daily disbursement.”
Sellers on yet another thread were just as frustrated, with one noting that while there had been no update on the apparent “glitch,” Amazon was continuing to process refunds on time.
One seller expressed the dilemma of deciding whether to ship orders with the risk of not getting paid (or at least, not getting paid in a timely manner), or not shipping and risk having Amazon ding their performance metrics, when they said, “Almost afraid to ship but also afraid not to ship new orders.”
Yep, it’s still happening.. normally we print shipping every day at 11am and the funds get transferred into the disbursement account within 10 maybe 15 minutes.. yesterday we started at 9am and they didn’t start showing up for disbursement until 8 or 9 pm, and even then.. when you click to disburse the funds you get the email from them that a withdrawal was processed (which usually zero’s the account out in a few minutes) and at 2am the funds were still showing in Amazon’s possession and the transfer had not begun, we are grandfathered in, daily disbursements with 24 hour payouts (for a fee).. at some point overnight the balance in the account finally zeroed out but Amazon got to hang on to our money an extra day before finally processing it.
SO, one has to wonder just how much money Amazon made off of the “delay” in processing payments to sellers, ours was 10k, if they are holding payments an extra day for 10’s of thousands of sellers just how much EXTRA interest did they get to collect off of all that money???? I mean that’s the MAIN reason why these places started handling all payments for sellers, so they can collect all the interest from money sitting in their bank.. just seems kind of fishy how Amazon has failed to address this issue publicly, Seller Support Agents have no clue how to handle the issue, the Mods in the forums aren’t addressing anyone’s concerns or questions because they have no answers ..
I guess Jeff Bozo needed a new private jet or a fleet of new drones and decided to “F” sellers to get it during the busiest time of the year!
