Amazon has been sending an invitation to sellers this month giving them the opportunity for coaching. The Amazon Support Connect program costs $75 for a one-hour session and is conducted via video conferencing.
This comes on the heels of programs Amazon introduced for high-volume sellers earlier this year. The Amazon Marketplace Starter program costs $700/month for 3 months, while Amazon Marketplace Growth costs between $2,500 – $5,000/month for 12 months.
The email Amazon is sending this month reads as follows:
Hello from Amazon,
You’re invited to sign up for a personal Amazon Support Connect coaching session.
We’ve hand-picked experienced Seller Support associates who can help you get answers to your biggest questions and offer tips you can use to grow your business. It’s all done over video conferencing so you can schedule a time that’s most convenient for you. This program costs $75 for a one hour session.
Where: Anywhere. Connect via video using Amazon Chime
What: Connect with Amazon. Get expert advice to grow your business
When: June 2018. Register to reserve a session.
Some sellers discussing the program on industry boards expressed skepticism over the support Amazon Seller Support could provide sellers through a one-hour coaching program, with one seller predicting the service would advise sellers to lower their prices and pay for ads on Amazon, with no regard for product margin.
Sellers were more receptive to the Marketplace Growth programs even though they were more expensive because of the potential to resolve business-critical issues.

75 for a few minutes with an unknown company expert? Not very d… likely.
