I’m not totally against this but it’s value can’t be determined until we see how they execute.
I was in the 2nd hand mobile phone business for 10 years and had a decent eBay store for a while so I have some first hand experience.
Honestly I would prefer to buy a used device from the original user rather than a refurbished product because everything from one sellers definition to actual quality of a “refurb” job greatly varies from one seller to the next.
It can be beneficial for the end user to have a baseline standard for a refurbished product by category instead of it being so broad that a retail buyer has to research one step down somewhere in a listing description just exactly what the seller classifies as “refurbished”.
To execute successfully eBay will need to define this criteria across specific categories and communicate it to both buyers and sellers who uphold those standards and a transparent policy for seller qualification.
Just what we need! More junks on eBay by questionable sellers. Don’t want no beat up pieces of electronics slapped back together by grubby hands! There is a reason cars have to carry a SALVAGE TITLE when they are “refurbished”.
IDK. It would have to be 60% or less for me to even consider it. First off, theses no manufacturers warranty.
These other warranty deals to cover are not worth it. There is a deductible, and you pay shipping most of the time. So whats the point of that. In a couple of months, if your purchase seems to crap out, your stuck with a paper weight.
another dumb idea from mister walmart number 2
I see a lot of inads for the suckers that fall for this nonsense
