  1. …According to Gurjit Sandhu, Marketing Manager for Yes Marketing. This year could be “make or break” for subscription models for big-brand retailers, Sandhu believes. “Many prominent retailers (H&M, Loft, Target) started adopting various subscription models in 2019, as a sensible path towards ensuring consumers stick around for more than one purchase. “Typically, members would pay a set monthly fee for UNLIMITED ACCESS to outfits that they can wear (and return) without having to make a purchase commitment……

****GASP****The Year of the RENTAL – I wonder how Amazon and Ebay and Etsy will incorporate their “gameplans” to reflect this direction (worse then it is now with returns).

  2. Those clothing membership places are just the type of caterer millennials look for to feed their need to use and dispose. I can’t tell you how many things my nephew has tried throwing away simply because it got dirty. Rather than wash it or take it to the cleaners, he’d rather go buy a replacement. I tell you that boy has a closet full of clothes he’s never even taken the tags off of.

Although, in his defense, I have to say that he seems to be growing out of that stage now that he’s hit his 30’s. He’s learning from his mother how to be frugal (the Queen of Frugality). LOL
