The USPS is launching a new site on September 30 that will help small- and medium-sized businesses get discounts through approved consolidators.

Press release follows:

The United States Postal Service (USPS) will launch a new website Sept. 30 for small- to medium- shipping companies. The site will assist small- to medium-level shippers with a list of USPS Approved Shipping and Returns Consolidators that they can use to potentially qualify for discounts and offer other services.

Information on the USPS Approved Shipping and Returns Consolidator, can be found at usps.com/business/shipping-consolidators.htm, The new site will list the consolidators that are regional or national in scope and if they are available for outbound shipments or returns.

Effective Sept. 30, consolidators currently listed will not be automatically registered on the new website and must reapply.

Approved consolidators must meet the criteria, enter into a consolidator linking agreement, trademark licensing agreement and comply with USPS style guidelines. Application criteria and other information to qualify as a USPS Approved Shipping and Returns Consolidator is located at PostalPro: https://postalpro.usps.com/approved_shipping_and_returns_consolidators

  1. So, rather than just offer commercial base rate directly like they did before, they spent money to develop another website to advertise the services of other companies that get commercial base rate?

Were they born this stupid or have they been taking lessons from Dr eBay?

  2. yea..lets base the discounts on consolidators who will just skim off the top. we already have that with ebay..amaxon..stamps etc and every single one doles out the duscounts arbitrarily and skim off the top

usps SUCKS..just let us create a usps account and give us discounts directly
