What makes Marshalls or T.J.Maxx unique is their marketing of unique special purchase items where the buyer handles the item in person. I have been a long time customer of Marshalls and that is how they operate those brands along with Home Goods. Their outdoor goods division, Sierra, has had an on-line presence for many years as they stock fixed items from certain brands and offer them on-line at good prices.
I guess they needed to do this in order to grow. I hope it works, but I’d rather stop in to buy.
