  1. In addition, the north Houston mail distribution center’s roof collapse during the recent floods. This center not only handles mail in the area but also mail for parts of Louisiana after that state’s distribution center was closed during recent consolidations. No word yet when mail delivery will resume in this part of Texas. USPS is being less than communicative and has not even posted on Informed Delivery. There are updates at these links but neither addresses the lack of mail delivery in my suburban Houston zipcode: https://about.usps.com/newsroom/service-alerts/weather-updates-residential.htm https://about.usps.com/newsroom/service-alerts/weather-updates-residential.htm After I posted on USPS’s Facebook paging inquiring about when local delivery will resume here, someone posted: “I work in COPPELL NTX PDC (Coppell is near Dallas). We are now working DFW mail and also working Houston mail. There will be a slight delay. Mail is also being worked for Houston in San Antonio, Austin, Dallas maybe other plants supporting Houston.”
