eBay is trying hard to attract brands to its marketplace, encouraging them not only to sell on its marketplace, but to advertise there as well.
eBay Advertising is hosting a panel on April 12 in New York catering to brands at its offices in New York City. eBay describes the panel in its invitation:
“Brand safety has been top of mind and has become a major concern for marketers this past year. Virtually all brands are making changes in how they operate in digital media to be safer including demanding more transparency and investing more ad dollars in quality environments. What are advertisers, publishers and their partners doing to ensure ads are placed appropriately and to avoid future controversies? In this panel, we will hear from publishers and technology players that combat all of the potential hazards a brand experiences every day.
Join us April 12 for a panel featuring AdLightning Founder and CEO Scott Moore, OpenSlate President Brian Quinn, Horizon Media EVP/Managing Partner Sarah Baehr, and eBay Advertising Director of Sales Scott Travis.”
The eBay Ads team is hosting the panel as part of its “Connect @eBayCafeNYC” series where it hosts panelists to discuss a range of “Ad Tech” topics. The eBay Advertising division “helps brands understand and influence the shopping journey of 170M active buyers worldwide. With 1B live listings consisting of the most diverse selection of new, luxury, rare and collectible items in the world, eBay offers unrivaled insights into the shopper’s motivation and intent.”
“eBay Advertising data tells a story about what fuels users’ actions during each stage of the shopping journey, from product research to purchase. A powerful suite of tools combined with scientific shopping data translates into actionable insights that help brands influence their target market’s path-to-purchase and achieve brand and sales goals.”
Update: it appears the meetup has been cancelled.
