Hardware Issue Takes Down AbeBooks Marketplace Again

AbeBooks

AbeBooksThe Abe Books website is experiencing another outage due to a hardware issue. The Amazon-owned marketplace experienced a similar incident in September, after which it refunding all sellers 7 days subscription fees.

UPDATE 3/1/18: The AbeBooks.com website is back up. The company told sellers, “Please be assured that there will be a refund on subscription fees to compensate for the duration of the outage. Once we have additional, concrete information to share, we will let you know.”

All AbeBooks sites and services are unavailable due to the issue, but the company said buyer and seller information “remains secure and is not at risk.”

AbeBooks sent an email to sellers telling them no orders placed before the outage would be lost, and informing them that their seller ratings would not be affected by any delays caused by the outage.

The company said it did not have an ETA on a resolution.
