Etsy underwhelmed many sellers when it launched its Pattern by Etsy store-hosting service in April, but it has been slowly making improvements.
On Tuesday, the company announced additional features that sellers have requested – but put them in the category of “tweaks” rather than major improvements.
1) If you have a Pinterest for Business account, you can now confirm your Pattern site within your Pattern Dashboard. (This will give you access to analytics related to your Pattern site on Pinterest, and allows you to include your shop icon within pins shared from your site.)
2) By default, your Pattern site will auto-translate for buyers based on the language selected in their browser settings. You now have the option to disable auto-translation within your Pattern settings, which will only display your content in the shop’s default language no matter the location of the buyer.
3) Etsy launched a new theme called Chiffon that gives you the ability to create a landing page for your brand. (The homepage displays a background image featuring the photograph from your shop’s first listing, with your site title and headline prominently displayed. From there, buyers can click into your shop, which features your products in a collage layout.)
