eBay Population Plagued by Missing Photos

Buyers and sellers are having to deal with photos failing to display on eBay, and a manager acknowledged the ongoing problems on Wednesday. The eBay discussion boards contains numerous reports describing the problems.

Sellers raised the issue during a scheduled weekly chat. One seller asked, “Any update on when the missing gallery pictures glitch is going to be fixed? Many users reporting missing photos in watch lists, selling lists, and search results.”

eBay manager Jim Griffith (Griff) replied, “Alas, no update. I have sent in several reports. Waiting for a response back. When I have news, or an update, I will post it here.”

Another seller said, “Gallery plus took months to fix, Missing titles on invoices still months in the fix and haven’t heard an update in months.” The seller said the bug was forcing sellers to reload pictures – “a huge waste of everyone’s time,” noting they had sent Griff a screenshot showing the problem some time ago.

Griff responded by saying the team responsible was “acutely aware of the issue and is working on addressing it.”

Sellers say photos are not showing in search results, their Watch Lists and, according to this seller, “The photos are also missing in the emails I receive from Ebay telling me about newly listed matched items from my Watch list,” also adding that the problem has “been going on for too long.”
