Etsy Looks for Volunteer Android Testers

Etsy is looking for volunteers to help it test its mobile app for Android devices. By joining the Android Etsy Application Beta Program, users get access to the latest version of the Etsy mobile app. Note that the app is different from the separate Sell on Etsy mobile app for sellers.

Etsy said it is challenging trying to test its Android app because there are so many different devices using different versions of the Android operating system.

“Despite our best efforts, bugs sometimes slip through the cracks of our validation efforts. By joining the program, you will help us assess its stability before its public release. You will also be helping to ensure a better user experience for the rest of the Etsy community.”

For those who volunteer to participate in the program, the Beta version of the Etsy mobile app will replace the regular Etsy app on their Android phone.

“While we’ve done our best to assess the stability of the app, you may discover issues when using it: we want to hear about any issues you may have with the app.” Users can leave the Beta program at any time.
