eBay Issues Alerts to UK Electronics Sellers

eBay issued an alert to sellers in the UK warning them that power banks, aka portable battery packs, are now restricted goods similar to lithium polymer batteries per the Civil Aviation Authority.

The news is significant to sellers of electronics and other items that may contain batteries, since it affects shipping. Royal Mail will no longer be able to carry power banks, eBay warned sellers.

We weren’t able to find any new announcement from the Royal Mail or the UK Civil Aviation Authority websites. eBay UK directed sellers to learn more on the Royal Mail website on prohibited goods, where you can also find a link to its policies regarding restricted goods.
