eBay Kicks Off Summertime Deals Campaign on Fourth of July

eBay is running a summertime-themed promotion called “Hot Deals for Hot Days” and is tying in a real-life roadtrip as part of the marketing campaign. Shoppers can find the deals on eBay.com/deals, and New Yorkers can visit the eBay Airstream to shop for deals in person.

The custom Airstream will feature new Ray-Bans and Michael Kors sunglasses that customers can browse and purchase. Discounts will mirror the high temperature of the day – if forecasted to be 85 degrees in Montauk, shoppers will get 85 percent off their new sunglasses, for example.

eBay executive Bryan Murphy said eBay is focused on growing its Deals business to deliver what shoppers want most – great value and selection. “eBay Deals gives shoppers unparalleled access to top brands and designers at incredible prices – always accompanied by free shipping. What started as a “single deal a day” program back in 2009 and continues to grow.”

The eBay Deals Airstream will make its debut in the Hamptons on July 4th and then travel to New York City to Flatiron Plaza on July 7 and 8 – eBay will serve iced treats from the trailer from Brooklyn’s People’s Pops. The schedule is as follows:

Hamptons

Saturday, July 4; 12 – 7 pm: Montauk Beach House, 55 South Elmwood Avenue, Montauk, New York

Sunday, July 5; 10AM – 6 pm: Hamptons Coffee Co., 869 Montauk Highway, Water Mill, New York

New York City

Tuesday, July 7 and Wednesday, July, 8; 10 am – 6 pm: Flatiron Plaza, New York, New York

Shoppers can also see a curated “Hot Deals for Hot Days” sale via the eBay mobile app, with up to 80% off summer items, “from GoPro Action Cameras and a Cuisinart Compact Grill, to the Dooney & Bourke Tobi Tote and Michael Kors Aviator Sunglasses.”
