eBay Runs Promotion Encouraging New Auction Listings

eBay is inviting certain sellers to participate in a new promotion that encourages them to list in the auction format. The marketplace suggested users sell secondhand items to pay for summer fun; to sell used sports apparel; and to sell items in order to afford their next vacation.

Sellers must first activate the offer. Once they do, they will pay no insertion fees for up to 500 auction listings during the promotion. And, as has been the case with eBay offers lately, this promotion excludes relisted items.

The promotion kicked off on April 8 and runs through April 12, 2015. The promotion landing page urges invitees to “MAKE MORE, PLAY MORE: Make more cash for your items on eBay. It’s fast and easy so you can spend more time doing what you love.”

Sellers can list up to 500 new auction or auction with Buy It Now listings. All existing selling limits as well as category and item limits apply and may prevent sellers from creating the maximum number of listings.

Five-, 7-, and 10-day listing durations are included in the promotion, and there is no additional fee for adding 10-day duration to qualifying listings.

All other fees apply, see eBay website for details and restrictions.
