Usually eBay restricts free-listing promotions to a subset of sellers, but on Friday it kicked of a listing promotion open to all sellers.
eBay is allowing sellers to list up to 500 listings in auction or fixed-price format and pay no listing fees. The marketplace said it was to give sellers the opportunity to “get a jump on Black Friday and Cyber Monday selling.”
Excluded from the promotion are 1-day, 3-day, and 30-day listing durations, as well as Good ‘Til Cancelled duration. Sellers can also add a 10-day duration to the listings and pay no additional fee.
The promotion runs through Wednesday, November 26, 2014. eBay told sellers it was a great way “to attract last-minute holiday shoppers who don’t want to wait.”
All existing selling limits as well as category and item limits apply and may prevent sellers from creating the maximum number of listings. “Most categories are included,” according to eBay’s announcement.
All other fees apply, see eBay website for details and restrictions.
