After expanding the availability of its Click & Collect delivery service to small sellers in the UK, eBay is broadening the availability. That means if you don’t want to participate and thought your listings weren’t eligible, you better check your settings once again.
eBay is expanding eligibility to those listings that have a delivery estimate of up to 5 days (dispatch + postage time), and to those sellers offering Royal Mail 2nd Class; Royal Mail 48; and Collect+ Standard.
The requirement for free shipping remains.
With eBay’s Click & Collect, buyers can choose to pick up their item from one of over 650 Argos department store locations across the UK – sellers ship their items to the Argos store for the buyer to pick up in person.
eBay UK said it had received many requests from sellers who weren’t offering “Fast & Free” to be made eligible for the busy peak trading season. “We’ll be adding many sellers over the next few weeks so watch out for an email welcoming you to Click & Collect.”
Sellers can opt out of the program through My eBay – Account – Site Preferences, and can also opt out on a listing by listing basis. See details on the eBay UK website.
