eBay Holds Promotion in Australia to Capture Post-Christmas Sales

Online sellers understand that shopping does not come to an end on December 24th. In fact, eBay said “unwanted Christmas presents” was the sixth highest search term on eBay on Christmas Day last year as shoppers went online for a deal or to sell their own unwanted presents.

eBay Australia is taking advantage of the fact by encouraging sellers to list in the days leading up to Christmas Eve and inviting some to participate in a listing sale. The promotion page states, “Spending doesn’t stop at Christmas so for a limited time we’re giving you 100 free listings so you can take advantage of the shopping season.”

The promotion runs from December 20 – 23, 2013 EST. However, not all sellers can participate – the promotion is by invitation only and must be activated by sellers. eBay Store owners are excluded from the promotion, and only members registered on eBay.com.au with an Australian registered address can qualify.

Those invited can list up to 100 items in auction or fixed-price format and pay no insertion fee. All other fees apply, see eBay Australia website for details and restrictions.
