eBay is running a seller promotion through December 5th, but only for those sellers invited to participate. The company does not reveal how it chooses which sellers will be allowed to participate in invitation-only promotions.
The current promotion kicked off on November 27 and lets invited sellers list up to 200,000 fixed-price listings and pay no insertion fees. eBay imposes selling limits, making it impossible for many sellers to list that many listings. The promotion is in addition to the free-insertion promotions it runs on an ongoing basis.
The current invitation-only promotion follows on the heels of another eBay promotionthat was open to all sellers for all format listings and ran from November 21 – 25.
Sellers who are invited to participate in the latest promotion will have received an email and/or a message in My eBay. The promotion is activated with the seller’s qualifying eBay User ID and is not transferable.
The terms of the promotion state that invited sellers will automatically receive the promotional rate when they list items in the fixed price format through the Sell Your Item form, eBay Seller Tools, eBay mobile applications, and most third-party tools.
Sellers can choose to add subtitle to the promotional listings at no extra charge. All other fees apply, see eBay website for details and restrictions.
