Amazon Makes It Easier to Analyze Product Performance

Amazon sellers had previously been able to filter reports by individual product (using the ASIN identifier). But the company announced on Friday that sellers can now filter business reports data by ASIN in Seller Central. The filter allows sellers to enter up to 100 ASINS in the search bar at a time.

“Previously, searching business reports by ASIN was a challenge and often required you to download data and filter it offline,” Amazon explained in the announcement. “Our new search capability simplifies this process and improves your ability to manage ASIN analysis in Seller Central.”

Sellers reacted by requesting additional improvements. “Please add this to the “By Date” reports, too, so we can filter for select ASIN(s) and view the metrics in a time series and not just a snapshot for the time range,” one wrote.

Another seller asked Amazon to bring back a feature that showed the number of days of inventory by ASIN – “We used it several times a week to spot trends when making new inventory. it was quite helpful and we do not find a report to replace it,” the seller said.

The full announcement is on the Seller Central announcement board.
