Amazon is being cagy about the exact date of its 3rd annual “Big Spring Sale” this month. Last year, the sale ran from 3/25 to 3/31 in the US, the same time period as its “Spring Deal Days” in Europe.
This year, Amazon Spring Deal Days in Europe will kick off on 3/10 and run through 3/16 (officially announced on the UK site on March 3rd), but Amazon has yet to announce the date of its US version – rumors are floating that it will take place the same dates as last year (3/25 – 3/31).
On February 18, Amazon advised US sellers to prep for its spring event, and it warned them to submit deals by the deadline. It provided the following “Pro Tip” to sellers:
“Timeline Considerations: Start preparing NOW if you haven’t already. Deal submissions need lead time for approval, and you want your inventory positioned before shoppers start browsing.”
An Amazon moderator referred sellers to this January 28 announcement post for more details on the Spring Sale event and recommended sellers monitor Seller News for important deadline updates.
For many years, Prime Day has taken place each July, making it easier to keep track of than Amazon’s big sales events in the spring and in the fall. While Prime Day deals are exclusively for members of the Amazon Prime paid subscription program, all shoppers can shop the Big Spring Sale each March.
And after Prime Day in July, Prime shoppers can look forward to “Prime Big Deal Days” in October.
