In a change that is likely to be welcomed by sellers, eBay’s latest promotion is available to all sellers rather than by invitation only – and it also covers any format, though be sure to read the fine print.
Sellers can list up to 5,000 auction or fixed-price listings and pay no insertion fees. However, the promotion doesn’t cover fixed price format in certain categories – such as Antiques, Art, Clothing, Shoes & Accessories, Collectibles, Toys & Hobbies (see promotion for full list). Update: please note we originally stated – incorrectly – that the promotion doesn’t cover auction format in those categories.
All existing selling limits as well as category and item limits apply; 5, 7, 10, and 30-day listing durations are included in the promotion, which runs from June 18 – 24. There is no additional fee for adding 10-day duration to listings.
eBay is also tying in a sweepstakes – “when you list, you’ll automatically be entered for a chance to win a $100k car of your choice from eBay Motors.” That’s right, the grand prize winner of the eBay “Summer Sell-ebration” sweepstakes can pick out any car on eBay Motors with a cost of up to $100,000.
All other fees apply, see eBay website for details and restrictions.
