Amazon is expanding its Subscribe & Save program to seller-fulfilled products, it announced to FBA sellers this week. Subscribe & Save offers discounts on frequently used products if buyers commit to future purchases on a regular schedule through the program.
Amazon said the program helps merchants boost conversions, drive repeat purchases, and grow their brands. It has more information about FBA Subscribe & Save for sellers on the Amazon website.
Amazon will automatically enroll all eligible, replenishable products at the default discount set in sellers’ Subscribe & Save settings later this month. “If you previously set a default discount for Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) Subscribe & Save, that setting will also apply to your seller-fulfilled Subscribe & Save selection starting June 27.”
Sellers can opt out from automatic enrollment – a moderator said if they do, it won’t impact their products currently enrolled in FBA Subscribe & Save. However, when a seller pointed out the generic opt-out option did not differentiate between FBA or FBM Subscribe & Save options, the moderator said, “Enrollment doesn’t distinguish between fulfillment channels and at this time there is no mechanism to only opt out of seller fulfilled selection only. However, once enrolled, Sellers can remove selection at the individual offer level.”
The moderator then clarified: “opting out from automatic enrollment will not impact existing Subscribe & Save selection. It only prevents the enrollment of additional selection.”
Sellers should also update their discount funding for each product after the June 27 launch, see the full announcement on Amazon Seller Central.
