
Sellers received good news this week when Amazon refunded them for mysterious “Other” fees that they had been billed for in August and again in September. A reader who had alerted us to the issue last month wrote today and said Amazon had credited their account this week.
“Apparently I am not the only one who got their money back,” the seller told us and pointed to Amazon’s notification in a thread from yesterday from a seller who shared that they received a refund for the “Sept. 10 charges and called it “a very pleasant surprise.”
Amazon responded to the seller’s post, writing:
“A carrier technical issue resulted in a small subset of sellers being erroneously charged for adjustments on labels purchased through Buy Shipping. These charges were applied as “Other” transaction account debits on August 22 and September 10, 2025. We are fully refunding sellers impacted by this issue, including extra postage and any associated taxes. These sellers are being notified via email.
“We understand that some of you may have additional questions about “Other” transactions appearing on your Payments Reports. If we identify additional issues, you will be notified via email and refunded as appropriate. We value your partnership and understand that errors like this can be frustrating. We are committed to preventing such issues with our carrier partners and resolving any that do arise quickly and smoothly.”
The Amazon moderator also left the same message on a thread that had been created on August 24 where sellers also sought answers.
