eBay Reports Problems with Packing Slips, Feedback, and Other Issues

eBay reported that sellers are unable to print packing slips “as the page is just spinning in circle and is blank.” A report about the glitch also came into Ecommerce EKG on September 2, 2024 – a reader with the handle EphemeraSeller reported: “The packing slip module does not load, it just spins and spins. So unable to print a packing slip to go with an item.

eBay’s acknowledgement of the packing-slip problem was reported in a thread pinned to the top of the eBay Technical Issues board where it explains: “The following are open technical issues that have been reported and we are still tracking. If you are impacted by one or multiple of these please consider shaking your mobile app or selecting the question mark in the bottom right hand corner of the eBay homepage to report the technical issue. To expedite your issue please attach the ALERT number associated with your issue below.”

eBay also reported the following technical issues in the thread, last updated on August 30, 2024:

Multi quantity listings are not reflecting the available quantity in view item page (Reference ID: ALERT15418);

Seller unable to reply to the feedback for buyer (Reference ID: ALERT15416);

Active listings are disappearing automatically from Seller’s account (Reference ID: ALERT15410);

Search results are showing incorrect and unrelated items when searching with Cards title in IOS APP (Reference ID: ALERT15380);

Seller is unable to bulk edit their active listing (Reference ID: ALERT15384);

Seller unable to add photos to Variation listings (Reference ID: ALERT15343);

Customers are unable to complete Captcha verification (Reference ID: ALERT15299);

Tracking details not updated automatically after purchasing the label (Reference ID: ALERT15268)

eBay used to include a list of issues that had been reported, investigated, and then resolved, but now it only lists current outstanding issues. The eBay System Status board where eBay used to report technical issues in detail is showing all green on the dashboard, meaning it’s reporting no problems with any of its 9 main areas (Billing; Buying; Customer Service; Home Page; Payout; Registration; Selling; Shipping; Sign-in).

Sellers also reported the packing-slip glitch in a dedicated thread on the Tech Issues board started on August 30, 2024, where they shared possible workarounds.

  1. One of the issues is that sellers can’t bulk edit listings? Funny, I was just speaking to eBay reps about that very issue, and was told my account is the only one on all of eBay having that problem. Clueless as always!

  2. The packing list issue was NOT resolved as of now – 7:40 EST

    When issues like this happen – they arent an accident or a programming glitch – its eBay playing with the system while its “live” and what ever they are doing – is breaking something else.

    So the question remains – now that all these items are broken and “fixed”, which beloveds were promoted?
