Selling app Mercari is running a promotion targeting the fashion-minded. The company understands that online shoppers who buy also sell, and vice versa.
The email to users: “Sell your next handbag for $50 to earn a 10% off coupon. A reward to treat yourself to any of the millions of items in the marketplace. Offer available now through 9/19. Terms apply.”
The promotion kicked off on September 5th and runs through September 12th, and sellers must receive a rating by September 19th. Sellers who meet the conditions of the promotion can use the 10% off coupon for an item valued at $30 or higher.
The terms and conditions are as follows:
“Items must be sold for $50 or more and sold between 9/5 and 9/12. Items must be sold in the Handbags (found within Women > Women’s Handbags) category. A seller rating must be received by 9/19. Canceled transactions are ineligible. Users must be in good standing and have received marketing material specific to this promotion to receive a coupon. Coupons will be awarded within a week after the promotion ends. Coupon can be applied to one item priced $30 or more. Limit one coupon per seller per promoted category. Coupon expires 7 days after issue. Can’t be combined with other coupons.”
