Etsy invited sellers to participate in its Labor Day sale at the end of the month as well as teasing another Cyber Week sale to be held this November.
“Run a Labor Day sale from August 30 to September 2 and take advantage of this busy shopping time by discounting your items,” Etsy wrote and included a link for sellers to schedule their Labor Day sale.
Etsy revealed that nearly 25% of listings that sell each day on Etsy are on sale and said that number can increase dramatically during major shopping holidays. “In fact, 47% of listings purchased during Cyber Week in 2018 were on sale.”
“This year, we’ll be going all out with a Cyber sales event highlighting all the great gifts available on Etsy. We’ll share more details soon about how you can participate.”
Etsy also reminded sellers that it would prioritize items that ship for free in its marketing campaign for US shoppers this holiday season. “Don’t forget that the top spots in US search results are reserved for items that ship for free and shops that offer a US free shipping guarantee.”
No Thanks.
Makes my invention look cheap to the Unaware……
Soooooo once more non US sellers with high international shipping get shafted every which way.
US sellers are getting shafted, too. Domestic shipping in the US isn’t cheap and it most certainly isn’t free. So, only those taking the free shipping plunge will get priority in Etsy search.
