One year ago, Amazon extended Prime membership benefits to its Woot deals site, including free shipping. Now it’s running a promotion to celebrate, giving Prime members access to exclusive Woot deals.
The inaugural “Prime Member Appreciation Week” kicked off on February 25 and runs through March 2. Amazon Prime members get exclusive daily deals on Woot, along with “access to rare Woot-Offs and Bags of Crap.”
Originally, Woot, which launched in 2004, offered one product per day until it sold out. It now offers special daily deals and other limited-time offers across seven categories, including computers, electronics, home and sporting goods, and original t-shirts.
“This celebratory week is being held to mark the one year anniversary of Woot! offering free shipping to Prime members,” according to a spokesperson. “In case you missed it, Woot! was acquired by an up-and-comer called Amazon in 2010.”
Note that Prime members must link their Prime and Woot accounts, get more information on woot.com/prime.
