A storm struck an Amazon sortation center in Baltimore, Maryland yesterday resulting in two deaths. The facility, known as BWI5, is located at Holabird Ave. Amazon Senior Vice President of Operations Dave Clark posted two updates on Twitter where he confirmed the two fatalities.
The Fire Chief said a 50-foot wall collapsed as the storm swept through the area, according to the Baltimore Sun. A reporter from a local television station posted a picture of the damage, and others posted photos on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.

There appears to have been tornadic activity in some parts of Maryland yesterday, but according to the Washington Post, it has yet to be determined if it the wall collapse at the Amazon facility was due to straight line wind or tornadic activity.
It’s not clear how Amazon will communicate with customers and with FBA sellers who have items stored and orders being processed in Maryland.
