eBay UK is capping selling fees in a promotion for private sellers (business sellers are excluded from participating). eBay advertised the promo on its UK homepage even though the terms and conditions state, “The promotion start and end dates are included in the email we send to invited sellers.”
UK sellers can list up to 100 items (no insertion fees apply) and qualify for a maximum £1 final value fee for those items listed by Monday, October 22nd. The promotion kicked off Friday, October 19, 2018.
Sellers must actively opt in. According to the terms, “This promotion is open to all registered private sellers who have been invited to take part and have actively opted in. Participation is linked to the seller’s account and is not transferable. Sellers must be registered as a resident in the UK.” Be sure to read all terms carefully for details and restrictions.
eBay UK also ran a promo for buyers on Friday that has since ended. Shoppers could use a 10% discount coupon for orders on £20 or more on eBay.co.uk. The promotion ran from 10 am to 8 pm on October 19th. The coupon code was PUMPKINS.
There has to be a new, unnamed CEO.
Who else would advocate a significant saving for the SELLERS?
That. or the final dredges of desperation. Any sale, any income.
