PayPal Updates Mobile App for Ease of Use

PayPal LogoPayPal updated its mobile app to make it easier and simpler, according to the company. Not surprisingly, PayPal said the most popular features of the app remain sending and requesting money, so it moved the Send and Receive money buttons so that they’re always at customers’ fingertips on the home screen.

Customers use the Send and Receive buttons for tasks ranging from paying someone back, covering a portion of a bill, sending a gift, or buying something from a casual seller.

PayPal also made it simpler for customers to add photos and personalize their contact list “so they can feel more confident they’re sending money to the right person.”

Another improvement PayPal cited: “We’ve streamlined the app design to make it easier for customers to view their balance, get notifications, and move money from nearly wherever they are.”

PayPal is starting to roll out the improved PayPal mobile app experience in select markets on Android and on iOS over the coming weeks. You can read the full announcement on the PayPal corporate blog.
