Shippo Introduces General Access USPS ePostage

Shippo, the leading API platform for shipping, announced they are unveiling USPS ePostage for general access. Shippo is the first and only way for any business to access USPS’s new ePostage offering. Not since 1999 has there been a new entrant in this space. The license marks an important step for USPS and Shippo as they drive innovation in the shipping space by providing a more reliable and easily accessible shipping technology for ecommerce businesses, marketplaces and platforms globally.

Shippo works with more than 10,000 businesses including fast-growing, venture-backed companies such as Mercari, Weebly, GoDaddy, Dia&Co and GOAT to help them solve shipping challenges and optimize their operations. The partnership represents a major growth opportunity for USPS as they take advantage of Shippo’s technology to onboard more businesses directly to USPS with a faster and more efficient method. Currently, established marketplaces such as Amazon and Etsy issue ePostage exclusively for members of their own communities.

Through its current agreement, any Shippo customer can access the USPS directly for postage and shipping needs, and rely on a seamless and transparent process for their shipping. By working with Shippo, customers gain instant access to multiple carriers in addition to the USPS through one integration. Today, Shippo supports over 20 shipping providers across North America, Europe, and Australia.
