Etsy Makes New Shipping Tool Available to Canadian Sellers

Etsy launched a new shipping tool for its sellers in Canada. The Price Your Shipping a tool allows Canadian sellers to look up shipping costs for items going to a specific destination in Canada, the United States and other countries around the world.

The company explained sellers can use the new tool when looking up rates to add to a listing, setting up a shipping profile, fielding buyer questions on expedited shipping options, or setting up a custom order.

“We hope this new tool will save you time the next time an eager buyer asks about expedited shipping costs, or when you get a potential order from a new country overseas. Instead of leaving your shop to look up this information, you can head straight over to Price Your Shipping on Etsy,” the marketplace explained.

There are three places where sellers can access the tool during the shipping experience on Etsy:

“You can access the tool as an overlay on the listing page (when you create a listing) and in the “Create Profile” form as an overlay on the shipping profile page (Your shop – Listings – Shipping profile) within the “Create Profile” form. In both places, the tool will pop up in a new window.

“When you provide your item’s package type, weight, dimensions and destination, you will be able to see the costs for all available Canada Post shipping services. In addition to the cost, you can see the transit time, included extra services (like tracking or insurance) and a comparison between Canada Post retail rates and discounted rates available through Etsy Shipping Labels.”

Etsy said it plans to continue working on shipping management improvements this year and looks forward to launching more features that will help sellers determine shipping costs in their shops.

The new tool is available on this page, and you can view the announcement from Etsy on the Etsy seller handbook.
