Capturing Customer Data at the Time of Shipping

Email marketing can be very effective, especially for online merchants who communicate regularly with their customers – after all, these are people who have purchased from you before.

One way to build your marketing list is to capture customer data at the time of shipping. That’s the idea behind a new integration between ShipStation and MailChimp.

The companies said that while MailChimp integrates with hundreds of applications, this is the first integration between MailChimp and a shipping software application.

ShipStation users who choose to connect with MailChimp will be able to automatically add new customers to their email lists, based on each order that comes through ShipStation. MailChimp will receive information from each ShipStation order, including Email address; First and last name; Last order date; Last order amount; and Sales channel where the order was placed.
