eBay continues to roll out its new “create a listing” flow to more users, which is designed to make it faster and easier to list items on the marketplace. The eBay Seller Team is sending emails to sellers to let them know when the new experience is available to them.
eBay spokesperson Ryan Moore said the email invites sellers to use the updated create a listing flow on eBay, which will be made available to all sellers by June.
The new flow is available through the new Seller Hub. However, Moore explained, the email is going to sellers who are not currently using the Seller Hub – and all sellers will have the new experience once the Seller Hub is the default experience.
With the subject line, “Listing is about to get faster and easier,” the text of the email is as follows:
Create listings faster with our streamlined tool
Hi (User ID redacted),
We’re excited to introduce a few changes to make it easier for you to sell on eBay. We have created a new listing tool that allows you to:
- Create listings using a simplified flow with half as many pages
- Upload photos in the background while you edit your listings
- Enter and track listings using your own SKUs
We have been testing the listing tool with a beta group of sellers and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. Here’s what they are saying:
“I love the new listing tool. It’s easy to follow and picture uploading is way faster. Huge win!” – Kathy T.
“The “Sell Similar” functionality is AWESOME and will save so much time! Thank you!” – Lynn D.
“LOVE IT! So user friendly! All on one page. Fast on-screen photo editing. Great update!” – Heather C.
Now, it’s your turn to experience these benefits. Over the coming days, you’ll see changes to your listing tool that will help you to create listings faster and more easily. Of course, if you don’t want your listings to be faster and easier, you can opt-out by clicking here or by contacting us.
As always, we welcome your comments. Please use the “Send us your feedback” link in the tool or visit our discussion board to let us know what you think. We’re looking forward to hearing from you!

Moore pointed us to a page where sellers can learn about the new Seller Hub on the eBay website, but there doesn’t appear to be a landing page specifically describing the new listing flow. In fact, in March, some sellers had complained they weren’t sure what they were opting out of if they chose not to use the new feature.
One seller who received the email this week said he had not yet used the new listing tool. “But I feel in general that the cosmetic changes eBay is making are equal to replacing the windows in a house that needs a new roof, flooring, and a furnace. Until the basics are corrected, one has an old house with new windows.”
