eBay is on a campaign to boost listings. In addition to the fee restructuring going into effect on the 15th, eBay is running another promotion to entice sellers to list.
Sellers who are invited to participate can list up to 2,000 fixed-price listings and pay no insertion fees. One of the restrictions: the listings must be 30-day or Good Til Cancelled duration. A reader who has an Anchor Store called the promotion a good one, explaining that he lists 30-day duration listings.
Another seller posting on the eBay forums said 30-day durations were fine for slow movers, but they wished eBay would create a new duration so they could list 14-day Fixed-Price listings. “eBay is being pretty generous with the promos lately,” wrote another. “As a small seller without a store I really appreciate it.”
The promotion kicked off on Wednesday and runs through October 12th. Sellers must activate the promotion in order to get the promotional rate.
eBay also noted in the terms of the promotion: “The Promotion excludes listings that are created during the Promotion Period, but scheduled to start after the Promotion Period. Listings created prior to Wednesday, October 7, 2015, but after a seller activates the Promotion, which are scheduled to start during the Promotion Period, are eligible for the Promotion.”
All other fees apply, see details and restrictions on the eBay website.
