Indie Artists Selling on Big Cartel Get Shipping Tools

ShipStation has integrated with Big Cartel, an ecommerce platform designed to make it easy for creative businesses to set up an ecommerce shop. Now the artists, makers, designers, and musicians who use Big Cartel can use ShipStation tools to automate their shipping tasks and save on postage.

Big Cartel, started in 2005, boasts over 750,000 sellers who can choose from its three paid plans ranging in price from $9.99/month (25 products) to $29.99/month (300 products) as well as a free Gold plan for selling up to 5 products. Big Cartel also offers a mobile app and the ability to make sales in person.

ShipStation, owned by Stamps.com, is providing Big Cartel merchants with a free Stamps.com account – a $15.95/month value) along with the following features

  • Deeply-discounted shipping rates for USPS services;
  • Batch processing of 500 or more shipping labels;
  • On-the-go tracking, reporting and printing with ShipStation’s mobile app;
  • Branded or customized packing slips and labels, including return labels.

“Big Cartel shop owners have asked for help with fulfilling orders and simplifying the shipping process,” says Big Cartel’s Community Coordinator Sarah Anderson. “We’re excited to announce our first shipping integration, thanks to ShipStation.”

ShipStation offers integration with many ecommerce platforms, including Etsy, eBay, Amazon, Bonanza, Reverb, and Squarespace so that sellers can import orders from multiple platforms and organize, process, package, and ship their orders quickly and easily from any web browser.
