eBay is running a seller promotion to celebrate its 20-year anniversary. Twenty is the key word: sellers can get 20 free listings and receive a 20% discount on commission fees. All formats apply.
eBay explained: “Sellers who activate the offer and then create a listing in the auction-style format, auction-style with Buy It Now format, or fixed price format, pursuant to the terms and conditions set forth herein (“Qualifying Listing”), will pay no insertion fee and will receive a 20% discount on Final Value Fees (“Promotion”) for up to 20 items during the Promotion Period (as defined below).”
The promotion kicked off on September 10 and runs through September 14th. Only single quantity listings are eligible, and only 5-, 7-, 10-, 30-day, and Good Til Cancelled listing durations are included.
Sellers had a question about the promotion, wondering if the Final Value Fee discount would apply if the item sold after the promotion period (or, for Good Til Cancelled listings, indefinitely).
EcommerceBytes readers also had some interesting things to say about eBay promotions in the comments section of this recent letter to the editor.
Meanwhile, note that all other fees apply in this latest promotion, see details and restrictions on the eBay website, and be sure to activate the promotion if and when you wish to participate.
