Have a Question for eBay? Try an In Person Event

Regular eBay sellers will have a few more opportunities to meet eBay staffers in person before the end of the year – the company revealed the dates of three “In Person” events being held at the end of October.

Sellers are still getting used to major policy changes made this year, including the new Defect Rate, and no doubt have many questions about other changes announced as part of the Fall Seller Update, including a new policy around its Managed Returns program and Extended Holiday Returns.

eBay explained that the 3-hour events allow sellers to:

  • Connect: Network with eBay representatives as well as with other sellers from your area.
  • Learn: Get the latest strategies, ideas, and best practices you need to start or accelerate your business on eBay.
  • Discuss: Join in as we close each event with an extended panel discussion featuring eBay experts who are ready to answer your questions and share their best tips and strategies.

eBay In Person events will be held in New Orleans on October 27th, Minneapolis on October 28th, and Cincinnati on October 29th. More information is available on eBayInPerson.com.

The agenda for each meeting includes a keynote presentation about the latest news and best practices as well as a “highly interactive panel discussion.”

eBay used to have national conferences where many thousands of sellers gathered, but John Donahoe cancelled the program shortly after taking the helm. eBay Live conferences were replaced by eBay On Location 1-day-plus events that were limited to 1,000 attendees.

Those were replaced by the current eBay In Person events that are 3-hours in length and are limited to between 150 – 200 attendees.
