Users Report eBay Site Slowdown and Numerous Glitches

Discussions are popping up in multiple places around the Internet reporting of a slowdown on eBay on Sunday and Monday. In addition, users are reporting numerous glitches, including problems uploading photos; non-functioning Markdown Manager, and ongoing problems with magnifying Gallery images.

On Sunday afternoon, a reader wrote, “eBay is having technical issues again today. Pages are taking forever to load. There are complaints about it on eBay’s facebook page. If you remember they had problems a few Sunday nights ago when no one could get on to the site to bid. Seems like Sunday night is becoming glitch night at eBay.”

Others reported the problem on the Ecommerce EKG board.

Sellers reported the eBay site slowdown problem on LinkedIn (“Slow loading eBay pages …is it me or eBay?”) and on eBayClothingSellers.com (“Is anyone else having a problem loading eBay pages this afternoon? Mine are taking forever to load. Of course I have a bunch of listings ending tonight and now I’m concerned that Sunday night has become the weekly eBay glitch night.”).

One seller vented about all the problems he was encountering in this Facebook post.

Reports indicated the problems continued into Monday. eBay has yet to respond to an email inquiry about the site slowdown.

In the meantime, sellers say eBay is not honoring its commitment to protect them from fallout following the September 3rd outage.
